Amy Sigle

Not much before her death, Amy’s pastor asked her, “If you could tell the whole world something, what would you tell them?

Amy said, To know Christ, to love Christ and to serve Christ.

Amy Sigle was born on Feb. 15th, 1992 to Chris and Sharmon Sigle. Though she suffered greatly from her cancer, she never complained. She wanted to suffer to save souls. Even though her suffering was intense she often refused pain medicine. God revealed to her the date of her death in advance. Amy was asked prior to her death to help find the killer of Carol Mould when she gets to heaven. Within one hour of her death, the killer confessed. It is believed through her intercession a miracle occurred (not yet investigated by the Church) in Shawnee, KS. Amy died at the age of 17, on May 20th, 2009. One may visit her grave and ask her prayers of intercession at the Wilsey, KS cemetery. Amy was a nature lover. She prayed the Stations of the Cross regularly and prayed the Rosary as many as 7 times in a day.

Prayer for Amy’s Intercession:

O God, our Father, thank you for giving us Amy Sigle as a model of holiness for young people. You filled her heart with a deep love of Jesus and through the daily family Rosary, she learned to love and cherish her family and became detached from worldly things. Her great desire was for all to know Christ, to love Christ and serve Christ and wanted everyone to respect God’s name. She understood God wanted us to rejoice in God’s animals and creation and care for them. Most especially, she was willing to suffer heroically to help others obtain heaven. Grant through her intercession, the grace I now ask for (state your request)……… so Amy Sigle be counted among the saints of your holy Church. Amen.
